Mauri Petra

Limenas is located on the North side of Santorini. Administratively, it belongs to the Municipal Unit of Thira, Municipality of Thira, Regional Unit of Thira, South Aegean Region.

Limeniskos Mavris Petras is of local importance for the mooring of fishing boats of local residents and visitors. What should be noted is its usefulness for the generally infested area of eastern Thera.

As already mentioned, Limenas is located at Mavri Petra. Administratively, it belongs to the Municipal Unit of Thira, Municipality of Thira, Regional Unit of Thira, South Aegean Region. The specific position shows full compatibility with the institutionalized spatial and urban planning commitments of the region. The position brings together the following advantages:

-It is located outside the nationally protected areas of Law 3937/2011 and at a distance of 7.4km North of the nearest EZD (TKS) with code GR4220003 "New and Old Kammeni - Prophet Ilias".

The wharf includes:

-Two breakwaters - arms 122m and 79m long each

-A pier 12m long.

-A boat launch and launch ramp

-Basin with a surface area of approximately 8,900m2 with the possibility of mooring a number of fishing boats

The total length of the piers and wharves along the entire length of the coast is approximately 214m.
