The Municipal Port Fund of Thira is the Legal Entity of the Municipality of Thira that is responsible for the management of the ports, the fishing boat shelters and the Fishing Sanctuary of Vlychada. The Municipal Port Fund of Thira is responsible for the eleven port zones of Santorini and of Thirasia. Specifically for the ports: Athinio, Fira, Ammoudi Oia, for the Vlychada Fishing Sanctuary and small boat shelters: Armeni Oia, Monolithou, Exo Gialo Fira, Vourvoulou, Pori, Mavris Petra in Santorini, Corfu and Riva in Thirasia.

The Municipal Port Fund of Thira provides a wide range of services which includes:

• Servicing cruise and cruise passengers in the port of Athens and the bay of Fira and management of the passenger station, car parking area in Athens, city bus departure point and taxi rank in the port of Athens and the cable car in Fira.
• Servicing passenger, ferry, cargo and commercial ships as well as cruise ships including berthing, berthing, water supply, power supply and waste management.
• Cargo service (loading, unloading) at the port of Athens.
• Service of private and fishing boats that includes mooring, docking, water supply, electricity supply, waste management in the Vlychada fishing reserve.
